If you don’t know Steven Pressfield, let me introduce him to you through this video. While he talks about his book, The Legend of Bagger Vance here, the book he has written that I have gotten the most out of is The War of Art (and it’s two companions: Do the Work and Turning Pro—which I have written about before). Though this video is a little long (about 13 minutes), he speaks eloquently about the basics of story and how to outline an entire book quickly so you can get to the writing without a lot of delay. if it helps you, it’s certainly worth the time to watch it.
This is the second of two videos he did on the topic, but I felt this one had the most practical information, so I only included it. If you want to check out the first video as well, click here to go to the page on his site where I found these.
What’d you think? What was most helpful in what Mr. Pressfield had to say?
