If you don’t know Steven Pressfield, let me introduce him to you through this video.

While he talks about his book, The Legend of Bagger Vance here, the first book I read by him was The War of Art (and its two companions: Do the Work and Turning Pro—which I have written about before). In this video, he speaks eloquently about the basics of story and how to outline an entire idea quickly so you can get to the writing individual scenes without a lot of delay. It’s a video I come back to again and again.

This is the second of two videos he did on the topic, but I felt this one had the most practical information, so I only included it. If you want to check out the first video, click here to go to the page on his site where I found these.

What’d you think? What was most helpful in what Mr. Pressfield had to say here?
