This reminded me very much about how I got started writing. Check out what Dustin Lance Black has to say about the process.
What I really like is that he goes so old school with his organization. Sometimes it’s important to be tactile. White boards, index cards, sticky notes on a closet door—some way to lay out all the info so you can see it all at once rather than word by word—are all tools of the book (and screenplay) writing trade.
What’s your writing process like?
Hey Rick,
Thanks for the referral to the creativity/failure/mastery book. Looks very interesting and on target. Will explore it further this weekend.
Have a safe holiday,
J.Z.
Always glad to be of help JZ! Let me know what you think of it once you’ve had a chance to review it. ATB!
